Families In Need
Currently, we have five families in need. Below is sample of one of the families’ needs.
Needs of Family (their story):
Family arrived from Peru about 6 months ago seeking asylum. Dad is currently the sole provider- as mom is pregnant- thus finances have been tight and the family has been limiting their outings and spendings. Family is currently residing in a 1 bedroom apartment yet their housing is unstable. Parents are seeking support in ensuring their children have a magical Christmas experience as this will be their 1st Christmas in the US and away from their extended family.

Gift Requests from Children
Child 1
7 years old:
Shirts/ Sweaters/ Pants/ PJs: 10 girl
Shoes: 13 kid
Child enjoys playing with Barbies including barbie dolls, barbie house, barbie cars, etc.
Child also enjoys painting, drawing, and doing arts and craft activities.
Child 2
3 years old:
Shirts/ Sweaters/ Pants/ PJs: 4-6 girl
Shoes: 9 kids
Child enjoys playing with Barbies including barbie dolls, barbie house, barbie cars, etc.
Child also enjoys playing with playdough, kitchen toys, and toys that involve food (i.e. cooking/ restaurant)
General Family Needs
The family would really benefit and appreciate receiving any of the following items:
- Christmas tree
- Blankets (one for each person)
- Baby items (Huggies diapers, wipes, newborn clothing for winter and summer, car seat, stroller, crib, etc.)
- Toilet paper
- Pots and pans for the kitchen
