Family Support
Providence of Youth, Inc. is a non-profit organization helping destitute families since 1997. The families are identified by the local elementary schools and with their assistance, we ensure that the families are qualified for our services. Here is an example of a family we helped:
Children’s Wishes
Family of three: Mother and two daughters, ages 6 and 4 were living a domestic shelter for several months. They were able to transition into an apartment in Pacoima. They rent a bedroom in an apartment and sleep on the floor. The social worker is threatening to take the children away unless the mother can obtain beds to accommodate the girls. The mother and girls were sleeping on the floor with some blankets and pillows. Providence of Youth was able to provide a bed, clothing, gift cards to local grocery stores, and small toys for the girls during the holiday season.
